You may have heard about Qigong as an ancient exercise system combining conscious breathing, intentional slow movement and stretching, and focused intention… and if you did, you have only gotten the very tip of the iceberg of this amazing practice.
The name comes from Chinese Mandarin language, made up of two words, “Qi” – meaning “life force energy”, and “Gong” meaning “a practice or discipline.” So in a basic way, it can mean “a practice of working with our life force.” That alone is amazing really. How often do we simply deal with symptoms and effects rather than go directly to the source? Qigong, at least the way I have taught it and energy healing techniques for the past 40 years, is a sensitivity exercise that gets us in touch with that very life force energy. With that comes healing of course… but it also brings a new sense of seeing yourself truly empowered, understanding that there is no room for feeling like a victim in this world. Qigong helps us stop pointing outside ourself and casting blame on causality… and gets us to look inward and discover the amazing tools that we have at our fingertips… but were never told about them… Enjoy learning more through the offerings I share.
